Social Momentsis a supported microbusiness founded byMattie Michael, a young entrepreneur with Autism, whose passion for baking led to the creation of a community-connected enterprise. With support fromEdAble, a social enterprise focused on increasing employment opportunities for people with Autism and other neurodiversities, Social Moments was established to provide a sustainable pathway to meaningful employment and business ownership.
To support the long-term viability of the business, Social Moments required structured assistance across brand development, digital infrastructure, e-commerce functionality, and operational capability building.
EdAble engaged me to deliver a brand refresh and website redevelopment to improve market readiness, operational efficiency, and long-term viability. Following an audit of the existing Shopify site, I identified critical functional issues impacting online ordering and governance. I implemented an integrated WordPress and Shopify solution, restoring secure e-commerce functionality, improving user experience, and enabling scalable content management.
The final solution allows retail and wholesale customers to securely place and manage orders online. To support sustainability post-handover, I delivered a step-by-step user manual and personalised training, ensuring the business could independently manage the platform and maintain operational continuity.
